If you're looking for some good eats in Playa Vista, head over to Superfine in The Runway; it's not just delicious pizza. It took me a while to go here and now I regret waiting so long. Had I known of its inviting vibe and mouthwatering menu I would have been here many times before.
A Taste of Italy with a Local Twist
SuperFine Pizza and Bar stands out with its fresh take on traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant takes pride in blending beloved classics with creative flavors. Each slice offers a new perspective on pizza, thanks to artisan dough and fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers. For instance, the dough is made in-house daily, achieving that perfect balance of chewy yet crispy texture that pizza enthusiasts seek.
The Menu: More Than Just Pizza
While there I also had a few other dishes that were literally jaw droppers. First was a hearty kale and brussels sprouts salad with pistachios and grapes. Now I am one of those "I hate kale" girls which is rare, I know, but I ate every last bit of this salad on my plate. I also had the the meatballs which were perfectly tender but thoroughly cooked and served with a side of toasted bread.
Last I had the chicken parmigiana which was the best chicken parm I actually every had. It was lightly drenched in tomato sauce which I appreciated personally. I don't like my parm sitting in a pool of red sauce.
Conclusion
All of that plus two drinks was roughly $100 and fed two people well. The atmosphere inside was a vibe and the staff was friendly. The restaurant boasts a charming outdoor seating area too, making it an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy dining al fresco while reveling in our lovely weather.
